On 02-5-2010 jackboy said : "Being avid walkers, we try pubs & pub food in a variety of locations, I have to say this was one of the worst for food. We ordered the sunday lunch - there was no lamb but not to be deterred we all ordered beef - it was frankly dreadful, served with soggy, cold yorkshire puddings, hardly any vegetables the beef was wafer thin with gristly vessels on 2 of the servings, the gravy was watery and the roast potatoes burnt. I think if we hadn't been starving after our walk we would have left it. The beer was ok but not much selection. To round off a terrible meal we were seated near a family who beamed with delight as one of their children threw the contents of its plate around the floor. I would suggest that the pub improves its food and perhaps creates a separate family area - the pub is big enough to do this. We will steer clear of this place next time we are in the area!"
