On 27-6-2008 mauler said : "Friendly, lively pub with a large L-shaped drinking area with wooden floor. The Chalk Hill Brewery is at the rear of the pub."
       

On 22-10-2006 buckeee0 said : "Packed to the rafters on a Saturday afternoon before the football, but no problems getting served with so many bar staff working.Good size yard out the front which was packed too.Chalk Hill Brewery in the back yard which meant all the real ales were Chalk Hill ones. A good selection to pick from including a Mild.A fair size menu with lots of snacks with chips.The chip butty was the biggest i've ever seen.Look out for the hand dryer in the gents.It's so forceful it nearly blows you out of the door!"
