On 28-12-2010 desi9099 said : "A big disappointment from a pub with real ales that looks wonderful. Been here a few times and the level of service and quality of food is random. Last attempt to eat here was the worst, sausages were burnt to a crisp and tasted like last weeks but just reheated, gravy would have been better if made with OXO. Some dishes were cold and we couldn't eat half of them. Needless to say the place left a bad taste in our mouths."

On 04-2-2005 boycie said : "This was once a great old pub that hosted the Orpington folk and jazz clubs for many years. Now reduced to a chain restaurant, this erstwhile atmospheric pub is clearly a victim of modern commercialism."
