"The best thing are the views. Friendliness is often nonexistent though. Food is ok and the drinks are ok, but this really is not a pub for a group of single woman. After dark it can be a very unnerving locaton and almost empty, and it is in the middle of know where on a hill. My friends found it unnerving. I would not recommend this pub. If you do want to go and you are female then you really should take a personal alarm with you and a male freind. I will not be going again"

"Not much has changed in the last 2 years. Beer still excellent - Tetleys, Taylors & Black Sheep. You can now sit outside with a glass glass & watch the aeroplanes go by."

"Called in Saturday teatime after a walk up the Chevin - doing good business with the Black Sheep on top form. Only fly in the beer - if you want to sit outside & take in the views you have to have a plastic glass!"

"Pub overlooking Wharfedale & totally dependant on car trade as it is miles from anywhere - good for a pint after a stroll across Otley Chevin."

"Good pub - a bit isolated. Worth going out of your way to find if just for the great views."
