On 04-7-2004 firecheif said : "This pub situated just off Friargate in the city centre is quite small,it opend between 12 and 3 and 6 and 11 (weekgays,has a wide variety of guest beers,a very strong guest cider or perry at around 2.40 a pint generaly around 10 per cent,gets very busy on weekend nights but other nights pretty quiet and is quite comfortable but the toilet facilities are inadequate for the disabled. Free house with a wide variety of guest beers."
         

On 03-3-2004 bitter-monk said : "Popular with CAMRA, offers Castle Eden Ale and a selection of microbrews, including Bronte beers"
