On 31-10-2007 biltong said : "This pub should be classified as a National Treasure, real olde worlde approach (including furniture), dangerous local cider and a local community that make a pub what it should be - plain good fun. The history of this place is interesting too, named after an old Landlord who reputedly hung himself. Tourists, as I remember, very limited public transport in this area but to miss a trip here is depriving you of something ! On my last visit, I was not driving and had a few too many of their ciders, I swear to this day I closed one eye and could still see double !"
