On 10-4-2013 sophieleiper said : "I am a mother of two and am expecting another child, As a family we used to use this pub very ofen. However after the experience we recieved today we will never step foot in here again, and neither will many of my friends. I live locally and was at the park with my children and i needed to use the ladies (im pregnant so this could not wait) so we popped in to what we though was a lovely family friendly pub. After id used the facilities my children was nagging for us to stay and eat here as they enjoy it here, I needed to get back and told them later when my husband was home from work. We left the pub only for a dark haired middle aged woman to come storming out of the pub and rudely shouting after us insisting this wasnt a public toilet. After id tryed to explain why we used this pub she again told us we have to buy something. She seemed very annoyed with us and my yound children changed their opinion and asked to go home straight away. I am more then dissapointed that what once was a lovely friendly pub has now turned into a poor customer service establishment. I look forward to a reply."

On 25-3-2013 cider said : "I only visit this pub on Saturday nights but it has gone so quiet. Gone have the bubbly barmaids only to be replaced by one bloke who works the two bars by himself so be prepared to have to wait to get served. This pub is now dull and tired along with the beer and the atmosphere. I do hope this pub turns around again soon."

On 04-12-2003 cider said : "This is a good traditional pub where you can sit and have a chat with your mates. It's not a place to go if you want to paint the town red. I find it very comfortable and friendly. The beer takes some beating, I recommend the Banks Bitter."
