On 18-7-2006 steve_carter_uk said : "I must admit to being affiliated to this pub via family but i feel some of the comments made by steamingcliff are inaccurate. Guest (Quest?) beers are very VERY rarely B&T beers, in fact, i cant remember the last time the guest was one. Tiger is not shown as a guest as it is always on, so it's not really a guest. Using that way of thinking means the Guinness (and others) is a guest also as its not a B&T brew, not really true though, eh? Yes, the pub is very much a locals pub but you would need to go quite a way to find another 'locals' pub that is more welcoming, both by the staff and the punters who frequent the premises. Give it a try if you are passing through, I am pretty confident you will like the experience. "
         

On 08-9-2004 steamingcliff said : "The brewery tap for B&T Beers. Quest ale listed is usually one of there own! Everards Tiger is available but not listed as a Guest Ale! Basic interior quite comfortable. Nothing special to note on this pub. "
