"Easily the best real ale outlet in town. Steve and Bonita have 8 ever changing beers on. Don't let the disappearance of the carpark into flats make you think this pub is on its last legs, far from it. at times its difficult to get in as it is such a popular place both to regulars and visitors alike. ..."

"this place tries hard to please. A number of real ales but nothing different or special, I guess they are limited by a Brewery list. it can be clique at times and it can be difficult to get to the bar but this seems to be a trait of locals in this odd midlands town. ..."

"Another big pub chain faceless pub. Reasonable pint of Bass bitter, the only Cask Ale available (had keg pedigree and speckled hen – but I’d rather drink my own urine) Reasonable food, but the Pie crust was like leather and the 12oz steak had 5oz of fat – trim your meat chef! But there again mass produced food cooked by robots not creative chefs. D ..."
