On 13-9-2006 girlfriday said : "I finally got some time to go and have an evening out in Stamford and went to Cromwells - what a fantastic atmosphere, it was so busy with the bar staff doing a brilliant job keeping everyone happy - I think it was the busiest pub in Stamford on Saturday night. My friends are so impressed as Cromwells caters for all age groups and having disabled facilities also means we can now bring another group of friends along with us next time we visit. "

On 05-9-2006 girlfriday said : "This was the first time I went into Cromwells - actually for a business meeting, I was very impressed by the bar staff and the landlady made us feel very welcome, which meant we had a very relaxed and successful meeting. Excellent food and drinks in a friendly atmosphere - I will certainly recommend the venue to our sister company, I am looking forward to spending a social evening there soon, I was so impressed with the non-smoking areas and the beer garden was a pleasure to sit in after out meeting. All I can say is congratulations to the landlady and landlord, Sharon and Derek - you are doing a brilliant job."

Weekend nights have fantastic live DJ's and bands and there is a great atmosphere! Big screens surround the pub for all us sports fans!! The cocktail bar is a great addition with a fab menu and a more chilled out sophisticated atmosphere. Go see for yourself!"

On 04-9-2006 deano1 said : "Having been in Cromwells since its referbishment I can say this is a Modern Clean pub with access for the Disabled. The food is Very good value and freshley made to order. The live entertainment thats put on there is out of this world and worth a visit. The bar staff and managment are very welcoming and eager to please you. There is the added benefit of Security so you can feel safe whilst enjoying your time spent there. There is a fantastic Cocktail Lounge downstairs that the wife likes for her girly nights out.
All in all a Great Pub ! ! !

The clientell is excellent all ages including professional business people. Food, Beer, atmosphere,are all brilliant, They employ proffesional SIA trained door supervisors which now carry handcufs with power to arrest troublemakers, which very rarely happens anyway. Why people still class this pub with the bad reputation as the old Scotgate, i shall never know. £500K has been spent on Cromwells since the changeover: THIS PLACE IS A MUST VISIT !!!!!!! "
