"We have visited The Sutton Arms several times. The food value is absolutely excellent. Make sure you have an appetite, the portions are large. Before 6 pm the £8 for 2 meals is fantastic value, after that the £11 for 3 courses table d'hote is brilliant. Staff are excellent and we cannot understand previous comments. Massive menu with over 100 choices on the a la carte. Not 5 * Michellin but excellent pub food and always real ale on tap. "

"Appalling Food & Disgraceful service from quite annoying staff "Andrew".
Tried to pass chicken pate off by using pork pate & clearing tables before other party members has finished is quite frankly unforgivable.
Save your money & go somewhere else 0 out of 10, I'm afraid & that's being generous.

"My partner and i went to The Sutton Arms and were very disappointed.
I ordered a pasta dish which said on the menu contained cream cheese, sun dried tomatoes and basil, when the dish was bought out by the waitress it neither had cream cheese or sun dried tomatoes in it, it was in some sort of brown sauce with peppers and mushrooms in it and was definitely not what i ordered(were they hoping i wouldn't notice???). When i told the waitress it wasn't what i ordered as it was minus the cream cheese and sun dried tomatoes and plus a couple of other ingredients it didn't state were in it, the waitress rudely replied that i couldn't expect them to put down on the menu everything that was in each dish otherwise the menu would be a mile long...(this is coming from a waitress that works in a pub that states on the sign outside that it has more that 300 dishes to choose from...your menu is already a mile long love!)
After being spoke to rather rudely and treated like i was in the wrong for daring to complain i ended up just asking for a refund. My partner said his meal a chicken parmesan was OK if not a bit tough but when he asked if he could have some mayo was told it would be an extra £1. It all just seemed a bit ridiculous in there from the deco to the 300+ dish menu and its bizarre ingredients! I wont be going there again and i wouldn't suggest it to anyone else...except maybe Gordon Ramsey!"
