"Cask Ale limited to a choice of One since the new owners took over. Has been Spitfire, Bombardier and Directors - all were Ok but a little uninspiring"

"Must say the Old Speckled Hen was in great condition last night and the place was very clean and tidy. Donna continues to do an excellent job and the pub appears to go from strength to strength."

"I visited the white horse in February this year (2008)when I came for a long weekend visiting Debs and Donna, The pub its self is a wonderful old place full of character, unfortunaltly I am unable to comment on the beer not being a beer drinker although from haveing spoken with the locals they were certainly happy with the beer. I did notice though that both Debs and Donna would go out of their way to make the clientel feel welcome and if the demand was there and if possible stock what was requested. the cleanliness was outstanding and cannot be faulted..I loved the open fire that was there and the copper surround that was above it. There is ample car parking to the rear of the building. When I was there was some limited food which was good, ( the kitchen was being refurbished and the cooker was still to arrive when I was there....although I have been told that it has since arrived) all in all I would heartily recomend the WhiteHorse in IronBridge.

"What a pleasure to drink in this pub. Perfectly kept every changing Cask Ales always served in the correct branded glassware. It is so obvious that Real Ale is a passion and attention to detail is evident. The choice last night was Old Speckled Hen, Theakston’s Best Bitter and Theakston’s Old Peculier, which was gorgeous!"

"I had to try out the new Mild last night. Tetley Dark Mild and although Mild is not my favourite tipple I can say I was very impressed with the quality. It's good to see a pub trying something different especially in a Banks's Obsessed area like the midlands - far superior to Banks's Original. Well done!"
