On 29-4-2011 stevane said : "Beer festival this Weekend (29th April-2nd May) The new landlord Richard (plus Mum & Dad) is really making every effort to make this a great pub, with great food and great Beer."

On 18-2-2011 stevane said : "Sampled the food last night and I must say it was probably the best proper pub grub I've had for many a year! Nothing pretentious, nothing over the top just basic good food cooked by the landlord. Pork&Leek Sausage and Mash + Homemade faggots and chips... total bill £10.50. Very good portions, very tasty, very well presented.. a great effort. All washed down by the best real ales served in Madeley. I Hope the place doesn't get too popular, we like it just the way it is!"

On 12-1-2011 stevane said : "Good to see there is now some decent real ale in Madeley centre. Usually 4 handpulls on mainly Salaopian Brews but some guests. A place that you can pop in for a decent quiet pint. Not sure the pool table fits with the concept!"
