On 20-3-2009 ian335 said : "Visited around 1630 on a Saturday afternoon : apart from a large family gathering it was otherwise dead . Underwhelmed by choice of beer : hand pulled Tetleys or Greene King IPA . This is a smartly presented pub recently refurbished ...maybe the food is the main attraction but for a pint of real ale not much to recommend dropping in which is a shame . "
         

On 20-1-2005 ray461000 said : "Recently refurbished by Pubmaster to a very high standard, this pub seems popular with young people and has good range of real ales, including some from Marstons. It incorporates an incredibly imaginative bar design and, thankfully, the big screen used for football matches is normally silent."
