Tried the pie-of-the-day Steak & Ale , A slice of meaty but quite dry pie , needed more gravy. Wife tried the curry-of-the-day also beef. Very dry and unappetizing , a woman on the next table had the same and refused to eat it describing it as 'disgusting and the worst curry ever' I think that was probably unfair. Other reviews have referred to a good beer choice but I disagree , it is only Bank's group standard beers (Marston's etc) and nothing from independant breweries. I am not sure if a Bank Holiday is the best time to visit , but I shall not bother to go here again."

It looks really nice from the outside, we got sat in the bar for our meal which was abit dissapointing as the restaurant area looked much nicer. When we looked at the menu we thought there really wasnt much variety, could do with abit more choice of meals and starters. There was only 2 members of staff working, one on the bar and one waitress, we found the service very poor and waited a long time for our orders to be taken and our plates to be cleared away. Overall the food was really nice but the service and welcoming could of been alot better."

Staff go out of their way to make this a home from home.
Thank you for the service that is offered and the friendly faces you always have

Of all the pubs i ever visted this pub has to be near the top if not at the top. The food is absolutely fantastic - consisently, the atmosphere is infectious and the beer excellent. The landlords are obsessed with detail and very passionate about the pub - and it shows.Keep up the good work. P.S Trace the username of the negative comments (i gather a local pub to the tavern)- how low can they go? - it says it all!"

The food is always fresh , tasty and delicious, The real ales are a must. The LandLord I believe is a Master Cellar Man and knows his stuff!! There is a delightful beer garden area, there is not however a PLASMA SCREEN OR JUKEBOX in sight. If you want a table at The Tavern Denstone, book early to avoid disappointment it's very, very busy. That says it all....."

We can not think why your food was frozem in the middle, we seldom use any frozem produce at all, why the LandLord smashed glasses or what ever is also a mistery, perhaps you anoyed Him.... He's humam too!! "
