On 09-1-2011 middlec said : "The Springbrook is not really a pub in the real sense, just a licenced eating place. We have eaten here on many occasions, the last time was about two weeks prior to me writing this. The food is fine, service fair to good, depending on the number of customers and the number of staff on duty at the time. Can honestly say we have never had a bad meal here, and the two-for-one deal is good value for money. Very much a family orientated eating place. Decent food at a reasonable price, but nothing exceptional. For instance, it's not a place for a quiet romatic dining-out experience, obviously. There are a couple of wooden bench tables outside at the front for smokers, but it's a token gesture, no attempt to add a top cover, or any hedge for shelter. Some pubs and eateries in the area have done a lot more to try and keep their customers happy, but I think this place has become a little tired and lost the incentive a bit lately. It's not doing much to attract new customers or to retain the regulars. "

Had to TRY to find our own table, went upstairs, sat down and my boyfriend went to ask for a menu, I realized there was a problem.. I stood up and two girls (staff) were just staring at me blankly, my boyfriend had asked a member of staff for a menu to which she replied: ''You can't sit up here, it's closed.'' My boyfriend asked why and she said ''because it is.'' FANTASTIC SERVICE GIRLS! THANKS FOR A WASTED JOURNEY! "
