"The Bell Inn seems to be closed at the moment - hopefully it will re-open in due course. "

"I eat here regularly, and in my experience the food is excellent. The other reviewer must of had some bad luck there, as the Steak & Kidney suet pud is my favourite (I've had it at least 10 times! Never fails for me.) Overall this is an excellent pub come restaurant and they can't do enough for you in my experience. "

"Evening Meal Weds 13/10/10 - Steak & Kidney Pudding – literally 2 small pieces of steak and 3 tiny kidneys – all dried out. S&K Pudding served with mash – but no vegetables. Really disappointed. Pub rates 0 from my perspective for its food."

"As the owner, I thought I'd give you a little more info. Following a thoroughly modern renovation The Bell, Long Hanborough has a neat open-plan interior with comfortably furnished bar and restaurant, with thick candles on scrubbed tables. The terrace provides stunning views over the Evenlode Valley.
The menu offers scrumptious freshly prepared dishes with locally sourced ingredients – such as steak and mushroom suet pudding with mash-potato, slow-cooked lamb shoulder, and a delicious selection of fish and vegetarian options. In the stylish bar you can enjoy your favourite tipple or cappuccino, and mouth-watering sandwiches.
Offering probably the best ‘Sunday Lunch Carvery’ in the area and the ‘Live Lounge’ each Sunday evening it’s a perfect ending to your weekend.
Finally, not forgetting the Greatest Pub Quiz in Oxfordshire - Every Monday Night ....... accompanied by a fantastic supper with an international flavour!"

"Can't get over how much this place has changed! It's a great place for families to eat and be together - fantastic menu - in really relaxed, pleasnt and homely surroundings. The carvery on Sundays is magnificent. The Bell manages to be a 'proper 'pub' at the same time! View at the back is splendid! Well done to the new owner from my family and me! "

"From March 08, The Bell has been under new ownership. Following an impressive make-over this pub/restaurant is now unrecognisable. My family and I are local and haven't visited this pub for over 2 years. It's now all fresh food expertly cooked and fantastic service. We all had the Sunday cavery which offered beef, turkey and salmon. We loved it so much we've booked again for next week. Really impressed by the new owners."

"A typical, Cotswold style pub situated on the north side of Long Hanborough's attenuated main street, it serves both food and drink. There are views of the Evenlode valley from the rear of the premises. "
