Greenfield Pubs : King William Iv Hotel pub in Greenfield near Oldham 'Went a few times under old owners and it was nice. Had new owners and in my opinion, not half as good. Food not very good at all, limited selection, badly presented although very cheap, Beers were, at best, OK. No atmosphere and landlord did nothing to encourage any atmosphere. Wouldn't go again. The Clarence up the road is nice - I'd try that instead.' Report
Greenfield Pubs : The Clarence Hotel pub in Greenfield near Oldham 'Great food - tapas great and very well priced and rest of menu good as well (mix of traditional and modern), Friendly landlord, Nice outside area, Good non smoking section, Nicely laid out taverna style restaurant area and great wine section - the type of selection you don't usua;;y find in a pub. Well recommended!' Report
Greenfield Pubs : The Railway pub in Greenfield near Oldham 'Great pub! Slighly off beat music, jam nights which are fun, good beers, nice staff and landlord & lady are really nice. Great place! ' Report
Shepley Pubs : Farmers Boy Inn pub in Shepley near Huddersfield 'Went on strenght of recommendation on the website and found exactly the same. Great food - the beef (we went for Sunday lunch) was lovely and cooked to perfection. Far to full for a pudding (which looked lovely) as the main meal was huge. Lovely restaurant - very attractive, comfortable seating, nicely lit, friendly staff and nice landlord. Would definately go again - roll on Sundays!' Report
Marsden Pubs : The Riverhead Brewery Tap pub in Marsden near Huddersfield 'Used to be my local pub and we would religiously go there every weekend. However, it seems to have gone downhill quite a bit recently and everyone that used to go has started to go elsewhere and we all meet at another pub in the village! Some bar staff are very rude - everything is too much trouble and orders greeted with a sarcastic comment if you ask them for anything that involves more work than pulling a bottle out of the fridge. Pub looks like it needs some refurb work done and a good scrub, especially the wooden floors which have ground in dirt, pub looks tatty - the toilets are especially bad and I am told that the hot tap in the mens hasn't worked for about 2 years although I've not been in myself! Beer not as good anymore either. Totally lost its atmosphere which is a real shame as we used to love it and it was a great pub. Scenery lovely and it can be nice still on a summers day when you can sit outside.' Report
Marsden Pubs : The Tunnel End Inn pub in Marsden near Huddersfield 'is a nice pub and I am told food is good but it's rather small and everytime we have been (it's not our local pub), the regulars get served before you - even if they are sat at a table and you have bene waiting at the bar! Good for when there are tourist evens on in the village as gets good atmosphere then.' Report
