Frosterley Pubs : The Black Bull Inn pub in Frosterley near Bishop Auckland
'Beautifully decorated but utterly overpriced for utterly uninspiring food. The dullest food in the meagrest portions i have ever encountered. Service was awful - bordering on rude - between teenagers behind the bar, acting as if in a youth club (hoodies and wooly hats) and an awful chap in a multicoloured waistcoat wittering on about bells (?), the place bordered on the surreal. Beer was good - there has to be a redeeming feature (I'd put this down to the brewery - Wylam - known for it's quality). Really not worth the effort - i'd heard good things but found few of them here (other than the glorious surroundings). 2 out of 10 - must try harder!'
