Leicester Pubs : Bishops Blaise pub in Leicester
'Pub set very near to De Monfort University and is primarily a student bar. On football/rugby days, it caters for fans of the nearby stadiums. Good atmosphere with friendly staff and a good variety of punters. Food is served until early evening with a menu of dishes including all day breakfasts, baguettes, side dishes and 'beer buddies'. Good prices, quick service and the food has been excellant each time I've been. Mainly largers on tap including Stella, Grolsh, Fosters but also Guiness Extra Cold, Strongbow and Worthingtons or Caffreys (can't rember which). Good variety of spirits by top brands as well as house vodka etc. Drinks promotions vary but notably there is 69p a shot night on Sundays, 3 drinks for £5 on Tuesday and £1 Corrona/Tequilla night on Thursdays. Thursday is one of the bar's busiest nights IMO. The bar has a downstairs function room with it's own bar which is opened for events but can also be hired privately. The pub has no disabled access as such, there are around 5 stairs into the pub then a flight to the downstairs function room. All in all this pub has everything it should have, good food, friendly staff, decent prices, nice atmosphere, games machines including two pool tables and also has wireless internet and Costa coffee for the day.'

Nailsea Pubs : Ring Obells pub in Nailsea near Bristol
'Nice local pub set outside of Nailsea's town centre (although it where it is used to be the centre/village green). Friendly atmosphere, quite a locallers pub but welcoming of anybody except the youngians who are told where to go - That is to say families are welcome and there is even a fully fledged playground outside for the kids. In the summer the pub can get quite busy and is a very nice place to be on a warm summers evening. There is plenty of room inside and out with lots of pub tables outside. In addition to the bar there is a function room, often hosting folk gigs and a games room with skittles. In the main bar there is Sky television, quiz machine and a fruity. Pub food is served although I've yet to have a meal. Good selection of drinks on tap including (working left to right) Guiness, Guiness Extra Cold, Stella, Fosters, Blackthorn, Ashton Press Cider, Courage Best, IPA (I think), some guest ale, Bass. Good variety of spirits and several whiskeys. Staff are very friendly and run the pub well. The pub is accessible but is a mainly smoking pub, there 'resturant' area of the pub is non smoking during the day. All in all a nice family pub which people come from around to visit, plenty of parking in the car park and on the road. Lovely outdoor area and ample seating. Nice beers on tap and lots of locals to chat to.'
