Farnborough Pubs : The Ship Inn pub in Farnborough 'Felt a bit Threatening, took a photo of the pub before I went in. As soon as I got in the door I was met with, "What are you taking a picture of?" Not said in a very friendly manner. So I just got my drink and sat in the corner.' Report

Godalming Pubs : Bel and the Dragon pub in Godalming 'Built within a church, this is more of a restaurant than a pub. It is worth a visit, just to admire the stained glass windows. If you climb the stairs, you get a very good view of the whole place and the vast wine rack above the bar.

The middle area has been taken away and the only drinks available are for quick delivery. Gassy lager, cider & Boddingtons. The Guinness wasn't much cop. They still sell food, but I can't see any reason to go in there unless you are a desperate Arsenal supporter, even then I would suggest they found a different pub.

Bolingey Pubs : Bolingey Inn pub in Bolingey near Perranporth 'Can't give any details for this pub except to say it was closed when I passed by on my holiday in June. A sign on the road said it served lunch & evening meals, but no indication that it was closed. Saw an add in a local paper later that said it will be open in 'June Approximately'.Hope others have better luck.' Report
Perranporth Pubs : Sunset Bar & Ponsmere Hotel pub in Perranporth 'The bar itself is called Sunset Bar. As you can see by the photo, there are a lot of steps to get to the bar from the beach. Wheelchair access is from the main entrance. Sells real ale. The patio area overlooks the beach and you get a great view of the sunset.' Report

The front part is open early for food/tea/coffee and the rear part is the bar area. Started a no smoking ban in May. Sells real ale. Has an area for kids to play. There are tables on the beach, so you may get real sand in your sandwiches. Great view of the sunset.' Report

There is a bell for disable access, although I couldn't see a wheelchair lift. Gets very busy Saturday mornings for breakfast, with chairs disappearing from tables and clogging up another area. Newquay Pubs : The Chy pub in Newquay 'Seems to be called just The Chy. No real ale. Modern interior, metal bar. Pregnant barmaid was discussing cravings with a pregnant customer and the tall barmen ignores you if a young woman comes to the bar, even if you were there first. Not worth the trouble.' Report

London (SW) Pubs : Old Star pub in London (SW) 'Not a friendly welcome on my last visit. Asked for a Guinness, it got poured fast and settled with a large head, when I asked for it to be topped up, by the same bar staff, she looked miffed that I'd asked and then topped it up fast so that the head was pouring down the sides of the glass and then thumped it down on the bar, leaving my glass in a pool of Guinness, then just walked away.' Perranporth Pubs : St Georges Country House pub in Perranporth 'Very nice place on the top of the hill, overlooking Perranporth. There is a landing strip close by, so the light aircraft seem very low, reminds you of that Cary Grant film with the aircraft coming at him across the field. Anyway, didn't have any real ale on tap, but did have bottles. Very friendly staff, I got there and asked one of the staff if the bar was open and he said, it can be, and opened it up for me. Had a pint of Skinner lager, actually two as the first one was poured to see if the gas was on, and rather than pour it away, I got it for free. Large garden area.

Perranporth Pubs : Perranporth Inn pub in Perranporth 'This is an pub at one side and a hotel at the back, or the other way round, depending on which entrance you use. Parking is on the hotel side. Sells real ale, only one pump, but it was the end of the barrel so had a Guinness instead. Serves food all day and has a kids menu.

London (WC) Pubs : El Barco Latino pub in London (WC) 'Small boat moored on the Thames, has an upstairs drinking area, but the bar is downstairs. Tapas food available all day, but no real ale. A sign says that anyone unsteady on their feet will be chucked out, bit strange when you're on a boat, even though it's tied up, it still rocks with the help of passing boats.' Report
London (WC) Pubs : The Bull& Mouth pub in London (WC) 'Originally called The Bull & Mouth. It changed it's name to The Falkland Arms this is what it used to look like. When it was the Bull & Mouth, used to have strippers in the upstairs bar, seemed very popular. As the Falkland Arms, it used to have things around the walls about the Falkland Islands, now there's a surprise. Can't remember much about the beer though.
It's now a Chinese restaurant, I think.

London (NW) Pubs : ONeills pub in London (NW) 'Large pub opposite the British Library and now close to St Pancras International staion, so handy for the Eurostar. Right, that's the free adverts out the way. Wooden interior, like all O'Neill's pubs, gets very busy most lunch times. No real ale. has an outside area, under awnings, for smokers, also has an upstairs bar. Has a wheelchair accessible toilet, but all 3 entrances to the pub, have steps in the way, as far as I can tell.' Report
London (SW) Pubs : Arch 635 pub in London (SW) 'Used to be called Trainspotters, which would have been difficult, as it is under the railway arches and they didn't have a glass ceiling. Now called Arch 635. Still a nice place to go, not sure if they do food though. Opens Mon-Thurs 05:00pm Other days, I'm not sure. If you are going to stand at the bar, use the end nearest the door, as the floor slopes away at the far end and, unless you are tall, the bar gets to chest level.

London (SE) Pubs : The Florence Nightingale pub in London (SE) 'Large pub opposite St Thomas Hospital, very handy for hospital visitors. Sneaked my brother over there when he was in hospital, this was going back a few years. Now been demolished completely, probably for some expensive apartments. Was a nice place, had a bar along one wall and seating on various raised throughout. No where else close enough to the hospital now.' Report

London (SW) Pubs : Bonapartes Bar pub in London (SW) 'Small bar at platform level. No real ale. Gets busy with passengers coming in & out. Friendly staff. Diasable access. To use the toilets, the staff have to push a button behind the bar to unlock the door, don't leave it too late at busy times, you may have trouble attracting their attention and standing at the bar with your legs crossed may not be the most flattering pose.' London (SW) Pubs : Las Palmeras pub in London (SW) 'Says it's a wine bar, but sells lager and Guinness as well. Has decking in the large front garden area, which is an improvement from the old days, when it was the Royal Oak, with the ground sloping in all directions and the tables at all angles. Studland Pubs : Bankes Arms Country Inn pub in Studland near Swanage 'My photo was taken back in 1991, but judging by the photos on their official web site www.bankesarms.com it hasn't changed much. This is the home of The Purbeck Brewery, a list of their ales is on the web site, along with a food menu. They also source ales from other independent breweries and have a beer festival, in which they decide which ale shall be on tap all through the coming year.' Report

Subdued lighting, comfortable seating and great views of the Thames and the river traffic passing by.' Report

London (SW) Pubs : Revolution Vodka Bar pub in London (SW) 'Large corner pub, sells mainly vodka for around the world. Very expensive, pint of Guinness £3.50. On the price list on the wall it was down as £3.40, when I queried it, I was told by one of the bar staff that they haven't changed the list yet. He then went back to a game of throwing a cork or somthing into, either a glass or bucket, on the floor behind the bar. He was joined by the other bar staff. The manager looked on and didn't say a word.

Dark wood interior. Sells real ale. Got busy at 4:45 wednesday but only one staff member on behind the bar. Two people sitting at the bar, turned out to be part of the pub but didn't help and two other staff members saw it was busy, but just sat at a table chatting.' Report

Most of the people at the bar, seems to be friends of the staff, had drinks poured for them but no money changed hands or note of the drinks left behind the bar.' Report

Ordered a pint of Gem, the girl behind the bar pulled it, then sat carried on reading her magazine. I waited until the pint had settled and asked for a top up, she pointed to a non existant line on the glass, said someting about hops (no idea what she was on about) then topped it up.
