The only new looking thing was the pool table. I'd give it a minus rating if there was one.'

They still sell food, but I can't see any reason to go in there unless you are a desperate Arsenal supporter, even then I would suggest they found a different pub. '

'Very nice place on the top of the hill, overlooking Perranporth. There is a landing strip close by, so the light aircraft seem very low, reminds you of that Cary Grant film with the aircraft coming at him across the field. Anyway, didn't have any real ale on tap, but did have bottles. Very friendly staff, I got there and asked one of the staff if the bar was open and he said, it can be, and opened it up for me. Had a pint of Skinner lager, actually two as the first one was poured to see if the gas was on, and rather than pour it away, I got it for free. Large garden area. '

'Great pub, very charity orientated just had it's 30th anniversary of its Nightingale Walk. Voted the Publican's Community Pub of the Year 2009. Has seating out the front and a garden out the back, which has the dart board. Wheelchair accessible. Real ales sold, Youngs Bitter, Special, Kew also Bombadier and Morrisey's Proud of the Pub ale. At the moment they are having ab Elvis week, 8th - 16th August, with Elvis cocktails and were selling fried peanut butter & banana sandwiches. Very friendly pub, pay a visit.'

There is not much choice of wine. Couldn't see a menu, so can't comment on the food on offer. Has a smoking area out the back.'

'Nice enough place, this pub is one of the Samuel Smith owned places, so only Sam Smith ales and lagers on sale. The bitter is on hand pumo, but I think they had a sparkler on the tap as it was very frothy and took a while to settle. It has different bars, the main one i thinke was the lounge bar, it has a coal fire, which was very welcoming. A saloon bar, which wasn't very big but had comfortable seating and a public bar, I think that was what it was as it had a dart board and games maching. There was also another area, which seemed like am inside outside area, it had garden tables and chairs, it may have been just a storage area, anyway you have to go through in the is area to get to the saloon bar, which is where the toilets are. The decor is the usual dark wood type, this time it had gold wallpaper above. friendly enough place.'

'Been a while since I last visited, here is my experience. I went in on a Monday lunch time, it wasn't too busy so I was 3rd in the queue for ordering. It turned out I just about managed to make it 6th. There was one staff member behind the bar when I got in, so I waited, oops slipped behind in the queue, another staff member went behind the bar and I was demoted to 5th, then 6th, as she served served another customer. The original staff member seemed to be putting glasses into the dishwasher. When she actually saw me, she asked who's next, I said "me at last!" blank expression from her. When she asked for the money, I thought i'd be sarcastic and said, "wouldn't you like to ask someone else first?" Blank look again. My rating has gone down. Had to rush my pint as I had to get back to work. '
