Cross Roads Pubs : The Cross Roads pub in Cross Roads near Keighley
'Wow! 'The Cross' was marked for death not so long ago but after being bought Copper Dragon brewery given a new lease of life this once great pub looks to be thriving again. The Real Ale is magnificent, a great selection of world beers and a spectacular spirits and whisky range. Despite all the attention to detail the young landlord is keen for the pub to be 'just a pub' - no piped music no TV no games machines. It works. Staff are always keen to converse and even customers are happy to talk to any 'offcumdens' who walk through the door. My new favorite pub. '

'Really great pub. Friendly landlord & landlady, great beer always seems to be well kept. Very brave to be non smoking and should be commended (is this a first in keighley?).'

'I have not seen this pub quiet. Always a good crowd in for the excellent live music and superb quality beer.'

Haworth Pubs : Black Bull pub in Haworth near Keighley
'Forget about the Bronte connection! Any lack of original features or incorrect dates are due to the faceless pub co that own the premises. NOT the landlord who has turned this pub around and keeps a good house! Beer is of a good standard with offerings from Copper Dragon and Osset usually available. Friendly pub doing its best in a very fickle and competitive environment. Keep up the good work! '
