Scouthead Pubs : The Three Crowns Inn pub in Scouthead near Oldham
'The Three Crowns manages to be a local pub (something of a rarity these days) and a restaurant. The staff in both the bar and restaurant are pleasant and helpful. The range of wine and beer is quite good but the food is amazing. They have a standard menu which is not particularly expensive and is very varied. They also have a range of “seafood specials” which change monthly. We have just returned from the pub where my wife had the baked trout and I had the pan fried monkfish on bubble and squeak with a chilli jam. I have to say it was one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. I heartily recommend the place.'
