Wombwell Pubs : The Ash pub in Wombwell near Barnsley
'Had a meal here on Sat 20/1/2007, good menu, food excellent, cooked by a proper chef. More of a gastro pub rather than pub food. Wine list limited but good quality and reasonably priced.Service was very good. Only one draw back no real ale but then this is a pub to eat in not a beer session pub. I will go back for a meal anytime. To sum up a place to wine and dine ones wife girlfriend in posh frock mode.'

'A gem, a traditonal village pub, real ale, real food, Sam Smiths old brewery hand pulled oak cask bitter at £1.31 a pint. All this and in the picturesque and historic Worsbrough Village.'

'A smashing real ale pub, 4 draught real ales, 2 changing weekly. A camra pub of the season, open fires, decent food. The Yanks would drool over it, its a quintessentail English Village Pub.'
