Binham Pubs : Chequers Inn pub in Binham near Fakenham
'This is an excellent pub to stop for beer or food, there are always at least three real ales on from Front Street Brewery which is based at the pub. There is no set menu, blackboards in the bar say what is available at the time. I've always found the staff to be friendly when I've visited.'

'I was pleasantly surprised to find that even though The Turf now belongs to Greene King it had an extensive range of beers which were in great condition. Before setting off there print out a map as it isn't easy to find hidden down an alley.'

'If you are in Peterborough like real ale you should definitely visit Charters as they have twelve on in good form, some from Oakham others from micro breweries from around the country. Tasty Oriental food is also available.'

'Home of the Fox Brewery this pub always has three or four of their excellent ales for sale, guests from other microbreweries are also often on sale. The pub was recently refurbished to add a pleasant dining room and nicer toilets.'

'This delightful pub recently changed hands but is still serving great beer, Hook Norton Best and three guests mostly from microbreweries. The new French landlord is friendly, he even opened slightly early when we got there before twelve (the GBG says it opens at 11, I assume this was before the ownership changed)'

'This is a great city centre pub handy for people coming by rail or wanting a beer or two before catching the ferry. When I went there was a good range of beers both from nationals and from Scottish micros. The three I tried were all in perfect condition. The pub itself is very nice as well as friendly.'
