Lancaster Pubs : The Pub pub in Lancaster
'Its been a long time since anyone has commented on The Pub so here goes. I usually go into the place to watch the great live music they seem to put on.The best free live venue for miles. The beer is well kept and its always great to see real ales in any place.The landlord is always friendly and obviously enjoys live music and seeing people enjoy it. It gets very busy on Fridays and Saturdays after 10pm. Nice place to pop in for a quiet drink in the evening. Great juke box as well. Lancaster used to have a lot of Rock based pubs ( Tramway, Fat Scot and Boars Head ) and you see many of the same faces in The Pub. It may have taken a while to convince locals that its now a rock venue and not a gay bar but more and more are finding out.It's well worth a visit.'
