Stone Pubs : Crown And Anchor pub in Stone 'This pub is great but I am going to say that as I own it. Over the past few months we have introduced a carvery as well as a new main menu. The carvery is great value at £6.95 and during the weekdays its still only £4.95 for adults that represents excellent value for money as all the food is cooked from fresh. The new kitchen team headed up by head chef Martyn Kelsall are also cooking up some daily specials for those not wishing to sample the meat and veg. Dishes like tipsy whiskey chicken, and the homemade C & A monster burger are often on the menu.
The pub serves a range of beers including two guest ales that are changed on a regular basis, Abbot Ale, London Pride, Directors, and range of Titanic beers from a local stafordhire brewery are a few to mention. The Drinks are not the cheapest in town but not the dearest either. We are in a good location at the top of the high street in Stone with parking facilities. Clientele is very mixed, during weekdays and on Friday & Saturday evenings sees a mixed but more younger audience for those looking to dance the night away with DJ Wayne.
Regular live bands on a Thursday nights and a superb fun quiz every other Tuesday with some great prizes. If it's a meal or entertainment you are looking for, why not join us in a traditional english pub with a modern twist. The C & A staff are ready and waiting. (Thanks Mark)' Report
