'This pub is the reason why other pubs in Lincoln have had to bring their food and beer prices down. It is still possible to get a pint for about £1.40 and it is not end of the barrel/out of date stuff. They have a wide range of beers and other drinks. The food is excellent value for money and the steak nights on a Tuesday which cost £5.95 including a pint or other drink including some shorts with mixer are excellent. Try a sirloin steak. Even a cup of coffee is only 79p including a small biscuit makes this the cheapest place in town. The downside is one or two alcoholics use this as their affordable local. It is great for meeting up with friends at the beginning of the night as there is no annoying background music and its big and comfortable and a round of drinks doesn't cost a mortgage. '
