Ipswich Pubs : The Dove pub in Ipswich
'The Dove is a real ale pub with dozens of different ales on offer. You won't find a wider selection in Ipswich. They keep their beer well too. The proprietors (Karen & Ady) and bar staff are friendly. You will be made to feel welcome by the staff and locals. I will happily go in there on my own and sit at the bar for a beer or two. Although this is mostly a drinking place, they serve food which is good home-cooked stuff and they also have BBQs in the summer. There is a large outdoor area too, with a heater now for the smokers. This is a dog-friendly pub! They are welcomed with open arms. Kids are allowed too, but I would suggest keeping them outside and under control as I would say they are tolerated rather than welcomed!! I do take my 8 yr old son occasionally but there are not often other children there. It's our favourite pub in Ipswich.'
