Abingdon Pubs : The Brewery Tap pub in Abingdon
'A truly fantastic pub. Mixture of ages, but mostly 25+ The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming - sit on the round tables in the middle of the bar and everyone joins in and chats. Staff are excellent, good range of drinks from Morland Original to seasonal guest ales, on the lager front the usual plus Amstal and Budvar on tap, plus ciders, good wine and all the others you would expect. Drinks a little on the pricey side, but I think this tends to keep the clientele to a decent standard. Food is excellent, only served at lunchtimes but all locally sourced produce. Sunday lunch is available as one sitting and is a huge plateful of proper roast, but you must book. Nice little beer garden out the back and plenty of activities such as Aunt Sally, Golf club, live bands - and a great jukebox.'

Abingdon Pubs : The Spread Eagle pub in Abingdon
'Good friendly pub with a mixture of decent beers, lagers, ciders and wine. Large menu which interestingly includes cooking steaks on a black volanic rock, which is brought to the table. If you are feeling adventurous you can try kangaroo, zebra and ostrich, if not there are plently of other choices.'
