Carnock Pubs : Old Inn pub in Carnock near Dunfermline 'Date 20/01/08 Have just come back from pub and the meals were very poor.only one out of the five meals orded was acceptable this was brought to the attention of the waitress.meal 1 .The fillet of salmon came with chunks of onion sauce and not chives it was also cold. It was taken back to the kitchen and the after five mins another came out with the right sauce.the 2 meal the duck breast came with onions and not oranges and was also cold and the duck was very tough.
the 3 Lamb shank was cold the gravey was tasteless and the mash had lumps and very watery but under the plate was hot. 4.The fresh haddock was over cooked and dry the chips stuck together in one mass and were burnt but also soggy. The chips for all of us were the same they must have been cooked and then put to one side in a plate togehter.
The chicken Balmoral was the only meal that came how it says on the menue, but was also not very hot.
The ladies toilet seat was broken and on the floor.
when the drinks were broght to the table the waitress put her hands over the top of the glasses, you should never put your hands over the tops of glasses as you can pass on anything to the person drinking from them.
This can make people very sick. The Old Inn used to be a very good pub for food but I feel things have started to slip.I would not recommend this pub for food or drinks any more and have been going to this pub for over 25 years.' Report
