Leeds Pubs : The Palace pub in Leeds 'Probably my favourite Leeds pub. Good atmosphere, not rowdy like other pubs in the centre. Good choice of real ale.' Report
Kendal Pubs : Castle Inn pub in Kendal 'Nice friendly locals pub. Always busy. Food inexepensive and homely, large menu. Usually a decent pint of Dent.' Report
London (SW) Pubs : The Nags Head pub in London (SW) 'This pub is really strange. The landlord introduces himself and chats with everyone who comes in. We were made to feel very welcome. Had a decent pint of Adnams. The pub has a "what the butler saw" machine along with a number of other odd curiosities. The walls are filled with cartoons and newspaper cuttings. The bar is very low so the people at the bar sit on buffets rather than bar stools. Its weird and excellent, an experience not to be missed.' Report
Buckden Pubs : Buck Inn pub in Buckden near Skipton 'I worked in this pub for a day back in 2005 the landlord was a c?@* so I left. The pub has since changed hands so this comment no longer applies. Nice pint of copper dragon.' Report
Edinburgh Pubs : Guildford Arms pub in Edinburgh 'Nice pub. Handy for the railway station. Gets very busy, you wont get a seat, lucky to get standing room. Good selection of scotish and english real ales. Bit pricey.' Report
Cirencester Pubs : The Twelve Bells pub in Cirencester 'Good selection of real ales. Usually has a couple of session ales and a couple of stronger ales. Didnt try the food but the menu looked impressive. Cirencester is a beautiful town, but the pub seemed a little clicky.' Report
Harrogate Pubs : Coach & Horses pub in Harrogate 'Traditional Pub. Gets very crowded. It seems like everybodys favourite pub. Bit too popular for my liking. Beer ok. Food ok.' Report
Bradford Pubs : Goose on Bridge Street pub in Bradford 'Cheap beer, cheap food, cheap pub, toilets disgusting. There are much better pubs in Bradford.' Report
London (E) Pubs : Princess of Wales pub in London (E) 'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness.
I used to work in this pub round about 2005 and I'd tell everyone who came in the place that it was the best pint in london and back then it could have been.
Fine mix of characters pretentious teachers and crossword solvers in the lounge who take the piss out of anyone who approaches the bar. And in the tap room, builders, dog walkers gas men and electricians always a friendly crowd.
Situated by the river lea - gets busy during summer. Youngs beer at above average prices.' Report
Kendal Pubs : The Miles Thompson pub in Kendal 'We go here at least once a week. Good wetherspoons pub. Food comes fairly quick, but microwaves are quick. The local cumbrian brewery ales (Dicky Doodles and Wicked Jimmy) are well kept and worth sampling. I dont know why this place has'nt made the good beer guide yet, perhaps the local camra are too pretentious and prefer the overpriced burgundys bar down the road.' Report
Elslack Pubs : The Tempest Arms pub in Elslack near Skipton 'Very good pint of copper dragon, other real ales available. But its the food which is the best thing about this place it would put Marco Pierre White to shame. Full Gormet menu, very popular, book in advance.' Report
Buttermere Pubs : Fish Hotel pub in Buttermere near Cockermouth 'I worked in this pub one summer. Its a nice family run pub in the lake district in a small village between two lakes, buttermere and crummock water. Good for walking. Excellent well kept beers, A couple from jennings, one from hesket newmarket and then perhaps another guest beer. Good food and service. ' Report

London (SE) Pubs : The Kings Arms pub in London (SE) 'Backstreet pub in a picturesue street of terraced houses, a few minutes walk from Waterloo. The beers were London Pride, Adnams, Bombardier and Greene King IPA. A pint of Adnams and a glass of merlot came to £5.85 which is reasonable for London. Good English and Thai food.' Report
Cirencester Pubs : Jubilee 77 Social Club pub in Cirencester 'Great club. Just a few of quid for a weeks membership if youre in the area, or buy a member a pint to be signed in. Good crowd of locals. Entertainment on a weekend. Skittle alley, games room and cheap beer.' Report
Ayr Pubs : Chestnuts Hotel pub in Ayr 'Good food and real ale. Nice atmosphere. The Old racecourse hotel across the road also has real ale, but the chestnuts is the best of the two.' Report
Kilmahog Pubs : The Lade Inn pub in Kilmahog near Callander 'Busy real ale pub and restaurant. Three real ales exclusive to the lade WayLade, LadeBack and LadeOut - also guest beers. Tried most of them. Thought the WayLade was a bit too sweet but liked the others. Food very good. The pub also has occasional folk singers.' Report
London (WC) Pubs : Penderels Oak pub in London (WC) 'We stayed in London for 4 nights and had breakfast in this pub every morning excellent. We also came here one evening when it was very much busier. Good selection of real ales (11 beers + 1 cider on handpull). One of the better weatherspoons but does get too busy. Hard to get a table.' Report
Thornhill Pubs : Lion & Unicorn pub in Thornhill near Callander 'Decent pub in the trossachs. Food and drink very good. The car park had a few potholes though. Nothing else could be faulted.' Report
