'john & brenda are fantastic hosts, pub is very welcoming & relaxed. delicious food served in very big portions, excellent service. wide range of beers & ciders. has beer garden & car park. very clean with friendly efficient staff. good mixture of young, old & families, really friendly atmosphere. the anchor is situated in the picturesque but also very historic village of canewdon so perfect for ramblers & anyone with an interest in witches & ghosts! all my family enjoyed our visit immensely & are very much looking forward to our next visit, highly recommend the anchor,10 out of 10.'
