Nettleham Pubs : The Plough pub in Nettleham near Lincoln
'Having visited this pub on a few occassions recentely, I have to agree with the majority. It is a lovely pub, and the food is superb, cooked by the landlady. However, the landlord was extremely rude to one customer, who was obviously a regular, who just commented that the beer was near the end of the barrel, he could tell by the taste. The landlord was having none of it!! Also, on another visit the landlord and we presumed his wife were having a real ding dong of a row in the kitchens, swearing, shouting etc. Not a good advert. We have thought of moving into this village, but as it is the only decent pub in the village, we do not want to line his pockets. Perhaps a 'secret shopper' from Batemans ought to visit!!!!!'
