London (W) Pubs : The Hop Poles pub in London (W)
'The Hop Poles is situated at the Lyric Square end of King St, Hammersmith. The clientelle is mixed. There is a varied selection of beers available and a good very reasonably priced menu. There is a lively atmosphere about the pub, but the best thing for me was the cheerful friendly service of the bar staff. Despite the number of clientelle, you get served promptly.'

Smithybridge Pubs : The Smithybridge pub in Smithybridge near Littleborough
'The Smithy has had a welcome makeover since the present landlady Stacy took over last year. The bar service has also markedly improved. The food cooked by Tony the chef is good quality and value. During the week the clientelle is mainly locals, it gets busier on Wednesdays for the quiz but it is Saturdays when it is at it's liveliest drawing crowds from miles around for the entertainment. Good range of lagers and ales, Bombardier being a popular choice.'

Smithybridge Pubs : The Smithybridge pub in Smithybridge near Littleborough
'Now under new management, the Smithy has also lost some of its best bar staff, so you can sometimes wait a while to be served, even when it's not that busy.'
