Inkpen Pubs : The Swan Inn pub in Inkpen near Hungerford
'I visited this pub on a Sunday lunchtime with my family recently and was attracted by their website which advertises themselves as providing excellent food. The price of the Sunday Lunch was £21.50 so we expected something out of the ordinary. We were disappointed. The puddings were delicious but the starters and main courses were disappointing. The roast meat was cut so thinly that you could almost see the plate through it and it had dried out at the edges whilst waiting to be served. The veg were adequate but I can't say that the meal was better than a roast which I cook at home. Starters were nothing special and the prawns were tasteless. The vegetarian dish was overspiced as if to cover up the uninspiring offering. I'd say avoid this pub for food unless they drop their prices considerably. '
