Haddenham Pubs : The Three Kings pub in Haddenham near Ely ' Very lively village pub specialising in a quality menu selected from a blackboard. Very friendly, despite the pub doing a roaring trade they will generally find you a table when you turn up on spec on a Saturday night, and reasonably fast too. All the food is lovely, the saute potatoes beat the chips hands down if they are an option! Lovely side dishes of vegetables and quality steaks. The vegetarian options are very nice but a little limited and the blackboard choices don't change very often. You know whatever you order will be quality and the surroundings are cosy, with a large open fire in the winter and some outdoor seating in the summer. The pub is clean as are the facilities.A good mix of locals and food visitors generally enhance what is a lovely old coach house. Overall a high quality pub to rely on to take anyone for good food and service. Drink selection reasonable and pricing overall competitive.

Sutton Pubs : The Anchor Inn pub in Sutton near Ely 'Went here 2 weeks ago. Food was excellent, a great choice of dishes and imaginative use of ingredients produced some truly gorgeous flavours. The food was presented well in the restaurant/gastro pub fashion and not in the basket! Having been warned the food could be a bit pricey it compared favourably with the other quality pubs and restaurants in the area, a good winelist at reasonable prices and a good range of beers and other drinks. Service was excellent and the setting cosy and old. This pub is hard to get to and sometimes, when floods occur, Sutton Gault seems virtually cut off. All in all good service, nice surroundings, reasonable prices (and good company!) made this a very pleasant place to eat.' Report
