Mistley Pubs : Wagon & Horses pub in Mistley near Manningtree
'From initially hearing that the pub was very good, i was looking forward to my uncle's 60th birthday party there. There were 17 of us, and my other uncle had checked a week in advance that they could handle this amount of people on one table. They said yes, but could you come half an hour early so we can make sure we can get your dinner first. We agreed, seeming a sensible idea, we also found out that the pub had just been taken over by new management. To cut a long story short, we waited around 1 and half hours before and courses, while we saw everybody lse in the pub servered before us, even though we had got there early. When the food finally arrived it took over 20 mins to get from the kitch to the table, which meant some dishes had gone cold, along with many of them being over cooked. The to top it off when we refused to pay because the hideous service, the food was poor and cold, the new manager called the police to try and arrest my 80 year old granny who had arranged the event! When the police did nothing, she then barred us!'
