Kegworth Pubs : The Oddfellows Arms pub in Kegworth near Derby
'Well, I was staying in the Yew Lodge opposite and a bit fed up of the bar prices and menu so was glad to see a large sign draped over the OddFellow Arms announcing "New menu!". So over I go and try my luck in ordering a pint of the real ale on offer; "sorry - that's off" was the reply (barman swiftly turning the pump label around). OK -"what other bitter do you have?" I ask, "well - actually, we are also out of John Smiths so we don't have any!". "Er, can I see the food menu then please?" I hesitently request. "Sorry - not until the kitchen is re-done, we won't have any food!" In summary then, no Ale and no food. This has to be the worst pub in England?'
