Poulton-Le-Fylde Pubs : The Thatched House pub in Poulton-Le-Fylde 'The Thatched House is a busy pub in the centre of Poulton.The pub is very popular and has at least a choice of five cask beers at any one time.Ifind the pub very comfortable with good staff and prices have been kept lower than their competiters.' Thornton-Cleveleys Pubs : The Bay Horse Hotel pub in Thornton-Cleveleys 'This pub is in a very high catchment area,but over the past three years it has been run down by very poor and weak management.Staff are unsupervisedand somtimes unable to find one.The pub was closed for a few weeks for refurbushment and looks real smart outside.We gave it another try last evening inside it has been smartened up and they had my no1 caskbeer Timothy Taylors Landlord.Well that was what the pump clip said,but we got a pint of flat lifeless liquid with no head at all.No wonder the pub is empty.' Firgrove Pubs : Crown & Shuttle pub in Firgrove near Rochdale 'I was the tenant of this pub from 1967 to 1970,it was a great little pub owned by J W LEES of Middleton.The pub had a best room a lounge and a vault.I was very sorry to see the state it is now in,we had a pint each,and left with memories of how it used to be.' Fleetwood Pubs : North Euston Hotel pub in Fleetwood 'The NORTH EUSTON HOTEL is largest hotel in fleetwood.At the present time it is up for sale,the present owners having been here for about five years.There is a large lounge bar a ballroom,two restuarants as well as the bedrooms.The bar has four or five cask beers,but is very expensive.' Thornton-Cleveleys Pubs : Victoria Hotel pub in Thornton-Cleveleys 'The Victoria is a large pub in Cleveleys.It is a Sam Smiths managed house and sells good cask beer at £1-38p a pint.Food is available daily,and is busy on sunday lunch. The pub has quiz nights on thursday and sunday nights which are well atended.This is a well run pub, where you can have a good cheap well kept pint as good as any in the area were most are well over a pound dearer. Thornton-Cleveleys Pubs : Tavern At The Mill pub in Thornton-Cleveleys 'The Tavern is possibly the best pub in Thornton, it has improved a great deal since it was bought by HOLTS BREWERY of MANCHESTER.The food is good and at reasonable price,and the cask beer has also improved.The pub is still run by the same manager,but under a different company,i wonder what caused the change???' Fleetwood Pubs : Steamer pub in Fleetwood 'The Steamer in FLEETWOOD has just changed hands,the last landlord just could not make it pay as the running costs were so high.The new people are trying very hard,with groups and other entertainment.They have five cask beers on sale and are normaly on form.Food is served daily and there is a good menu.There is a pool table and a snooker table,big screen tv with all top games being shown,lets hope the landlord has better luck than the last one.' Long Preston Pubs : The Boars Head pub in Long Preston near Skipton 'My wife and i stayed here for three days in March.The pub had just changsd hands and was being run by two brothers one of them being a chef.The pub had a choice of four cask beers and they were all in good condition.The food was top class and you got plenty of it.Thursday was steak night,were you had a choice of five different steaks plus a bottle of wine at a cost of £25 for two.We enjoyed our stay,and hope to return later in the year.'
