Yoxford Pubs : The Griffin pub in Yoxford near Saxmundham 'Had a meal with my family today, the Pub was very quiet. The lady behind the bar and chef appeared to be making a joke as I asked for a jug of water with the meal, didn't realise till later the joke was on me. The butter for the soup had a half dead moth on it, the bread rolls were stale. The beef basket? - was a mixture of dough and pastry and was absolutley terrible. The beef had no seasoning and tasted as though it had come straight from a dogs tin of food. There was a strong strange aftertaste to the beef & gravy, I was sick later three times...very dubious. As I paid for the meal I mentioned the points that were odd/strange - I was met by a "oooohh" and no further communication. I will eat anywhere with decent people and half decent food, or at least food where people try, "No one tried here, we were given warmed up food, possibly from the previous day or so when it made me vomit" - I am very fair, if the lady had apologised or showed some empathy I would have been happy. But to not even acknowledge my comments is very sad, they could have made my daughter very ill ...Very disappointing, don't go here, its terrible, its the worst food my family ever had to endure. To be fair the salmon seemed ok, but we will NEVER visit this pub again in our lives. Hope this review helps.' Report
