'I’ve always found the manageress to be a pleasant woman, her husband is too. The beer is good. The surroundings cosy and the new deck is lovely in Summer. Minus points: The constant cheating at the quiz night gets on my nerves, as it does with most of the customers. Trouble is, most of the customers are too scared of one harridan to complain. So much money on a refurb, yet the attitude remains the same. if your face doesn’t fit, or you aren’t related to a friend of a friend (or a grandson / nephew of the same), or you aren’t a Z list celeb, or aren’t a displaced Scouser, you really are not welcome. '
