Warrington Pubs : Manx Arms pub in Warrington 'Is this pub still open? It did not look to be open for business on 02/11/08 when passing. Friend 'phoned pub number on mobile but there was no reply. The building exterior did not look to be in the best of condition, but to give a review of this establishment we need to see inside and have a drink. Does anyone else have any comments, perhaps a present or past regular customer who can confirm whether it's open or not.' Report
Walton Pubs : The Ship Inn pub in Walton near Warrington '10/11/08 The Ship Inn, Lower Walton, is no longer a pub, it's an Indian Restaurant. It's licenced, but I think you would need to be a diner to be able to have a drink.' Report
Stockton Heath Pubs : London Bridge pub in Stockton Heath near Warrington 'This pub has a good local clientelle, a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere with little or no loud music! Well patronised by a mix of ages, everyone appears to get on with everyone else. It's a clean well kept place, with an "old traditional pub" feel to it. The food is excellent, good service at tables around the bar, and prices are very reasonable. There are outside tables canalside for eating or drinking when weather is good. No sheltered area for smokers yet, which is a pity, because there is ample space for them to erect one. But a very good pub nevertheless.' Report
Lymm Pubs : The Green Dragon pub in Lymm 'We ate here late lunchtime a week ago and it was very good. Good selection of bar food, not your usual mass produced fare, and the drinks were reasonably priced as well. No-one was pushing us to drink more or eat more, perhaps there have been some changes since the last reviewer visited. A pleasant warm comfortable place, but of course, this was in the daytime, it may be a different place in the evening. But from the overall style, it doesn't appear to be trying to appeal to the young or trendy, it's just trying to remain a traditional pub. ' Report
Ringway Pubs : The Romper Inn pub in Ringway near Altrincham 'The Romper has been a popular pub and eating place for many years. We visit a few times each year, mainly before or after going to Manchester airport, which is very close by.
This is a Chef and Brewer pub. Food traditional, but very good, reasonably priced and the service quick and courteous. It was relatively quiet when we visited at lunchtime on 8/5/09 but service may be a little slower at very busy times, e.g. Sundays, so be patient!
A good bar and pub atmosphere, with adequate parking area and outside seating for when the weather is good. The clientele could accurately be described as mixed, from all walks of life and all ages. This is a good traditional pub, that has maintained high standards and has not been tempted to change to suit trends. If you have not been there yet, give it a try.' Report
