'Ignore the previous reviews, this pub went under new ownership in February 2008 and is completely different. The host, Byron, is really warm and welcoming and the chef, Mimi, is absolutely brilliant. The carvery is excellent - and very good value for money, too! This is a little gem, and really worth a visit.'

'A month since my last review and this pub gets better and better. It now has quite a busy buzz art lunchtimes particularly as the carvery is very popular. This style of service seems to be particularly popular with groups. They will always fit you in, but it is a good idea to book ahead 01622 816916. There are some super special offers on at the moment, too: there's a "Credit Crunch Cavery" on Mondays for just £4.95; a 10% discount on food and drink for over 55s on Tuesdays; and on Thursday there is a full meal (carvery, choice of one of Mimi's fabulous homemade deserts and tea/coffee) for just £8.50 - excellent value!'
