Sudbury Pubs : Vernon Arms pub in Sudbury near Ashbourne
'A fabulous British country pub in a beautiful village. There is a nice restaurant and always a couple of good ales on. The village is extremely friendly which makes it stange that the pub doesn't have the same feel. I think this might be due to the pub's layout, where the bar is up some steps away from the main entrance. As is expected the locals gravitate towards this area leaving new visitors sitting in the colder (ambience) parts of the pub. But don't let that put you off as it is one of the nicest pubs in the area.'
