Woodford Green Pubs : Crown & Crooked Billet pub in Woodford Green 'Recently modernised overlooking the village green at Woodford Bridge. Sells real ales and has a non-smoking area. A good friendly pub. Food portions are meagre though.' Report
London (E) Pubs : Golden Grove pub in London (E) 'A Wetherspoon conversion from a shirt shop ("Dickie Dirts") some years ago. It has undergone two refurbs since. A busy town centre pub which adheres to the Wetherspoon ideals of no music, no pool, no television, but good beer and good company.' Report

London (E) Pubs : King Edward V I I pub in London (E) 'Excellent pub with a selection of real ales (Adnams Broadside & Charles Wells Bombadier amongst others). Used to be a great haunt of students of the nearby University, but probably less so now as the upper bar has been transformed into a fully fledged restaurant.' Report
London (E) Pubs : The George pub in London (E) 'A Wetherspoon conversion of a former hotel. On two levels, this pub looks great on the inside as well as the outside. Usual Wetherspoon initiatives of real ales, no music, no pool.' Report
London (E) Pubs : The George pub in London (E) 'Recently converted pub nect to Odeon cinema with a steady trade. They had real ale when I last visted and no food (the chef was sick that day). Older people think of it as a young persons pub and younger people think of it as an old persons pub, it therefore suits everybody.' Report
London (E) Pubs : The Grapes pub in London (E) 'Small historic pub on Wapping's Narrow Street. Although owned by Punch Taverns, this still retains character and hasn't had the life squeezed out of it. Excellent restaurant upstairs. Real ale.' Report

Woodford Green Pubs : The Cricketers pub in Woodford Green 'McMullens traditional locals pub. Seemed friendly enough when I went there. Has parking space.' Report
Walton-On-Thames Pubs : The Regent pub in Walton-On-Thames 'Converted by Wetherspoon from an old cinema (hence the name). High ceiling at the screen end contains the no smoking end. Real ales, food, no music, no pool. Great!' Report
Walton-On-Thames Pubs : Old Manor Pub pub in Walton-On-Thames 'Friendly small locals pub with real ale. Does food, but seemed microwaved (nuclear peas and dry meat).' Report
Southminster Pubs : Rose Inn pub in Southminster 'Small, very old 2 room pub. The locals honestly believe it boasts the friendliest landlord and landlady. It has withstood the ravages of time to such an extent that the real ale is gravity fed. Well worth a visit.' Report
