Sale Pubs : The J P Joule pub in Sale
'I used to go herre every friday and saturday due to the friendly staff, cheap alcohol and the fact that all my friends and there friends and there friend etc went there. And i was underage when i did go. However although im older now and i am the legal age going in there now is not even a thought that crosses my mind. That isnt due to the age or anything but this pub has seriously gone downhill! i ts not as busy as it used to be everyone is abotut 15/16 upstairs and downstairs in pensioners paradise full of pervy men. They have the great whetherspoon prices and cocktails but its just not worth it. The place needs closing down re decorating and sorting out the staff with some training. Sorry guys but you were a great pub - come on sort it out!!!! please!'

Sale Pubs : The Kings Ransom pub in Sale
'This is one of the bettter pubs in Sale. Strict doormen who by the way are lovely. Definatley no underaged kids in here!!! This is slightly more expensivce than there neighbouring pubs but its worth it. This place get so busy on friday and saturdays people que to get in. The age group varies from 18-60 but the majority are over 25 and a thirdn are divorcees dressed like mutton trying to bag a man !!! They have live acts at weekend occasional live act in the week, quizs etc The staff are efficient too. In the summer (or winter if you wish!!!) you can sit by or on the canal on a barge or decking. Worth a visit and the food is gorgeous!'

Sale Pubs : The Met pub in Sale
'Now called THE MET. It still had a bad rep and i wouldnt go back here if they paid me. Its a large pub with a dance floor, quiz machines and 3 pool tables plus seating and a carpark at rear. The prices arent that bad and its fairly clean ish. Large screen for sports. Its a bit rough they keep trying to re-vamp it but no one in sale will go there!! full of scallies or the residents from wythenshawe (sorry)'

Warrington Pubs : Barley Mow pub in Warrington
'This is hidden in the centre of the GOLDEN SQUARE its Tudor looking exterior gives off the impression that it has many an old person in here however that isnt correct! We went here because when we were younger we went in with our parents and there was a bear in the wall and we since moved to manchester and decided seems as though were in warrington we'd see if it was still there!!! Well its not!! we asked the bar man who looked proud to be able to answer are question -plus a few unwanted facts!! This pub as very friendly staff and the (i assume they are regulars by the way we were stared at when we walked in) were - well different. Your typical student/mosher/metal/local male type pub. Nice Cocktails though at reasonable prices :-) they also have a pool table, quiz machine and a decent jukebox. worth a visit even if its only for one! '

Liverpool Pubs : Rubber Soul pub in Liverpool
'No thanks - Definatley for the older generation. We walked in and everyone turned to look (might have been the head gear and wands tho!) the majority were middle aged men. there was some sort of kareoke on to. it wasnt very busy either '

Leek Pubs : Elmos Ltd. pub in Leek
'Its a basement bar/pub. Has friendly staff. is very small. Dj is ok on a friday. gets busy too (well the last time i went it was) Can be full of underagers (i was 16/17 at the time and my sister was 15/16 and so were her mates) but all in all we has strange but ok night in there when i visited (i dont live in the area) No dress codes so dont expect anything glam! ok at the time i suppose. again everyone knows everyones business. some pervy men. toilets are gross. last time i went some one fell asleep and the bar staff painted his face with bright greens, oranges and pinks!!! so there is some advice ! dont sleep in there!'

Leek Pubs : Roebuck Hotel pub in Leek
'This is a tudor looking building, the interior is not much to go by either. All seating is wooden and uncomfortabel. The Bar area is small and the staff are fairly young.The lighting is very dark even in the day. The toilets are outside!! it what appears to be a garage type area but once in the toilets they arent that bad and they are clean. Drink prices are ok. Plenty of locals (incl farmers/country boys!) so every one knows everyone (and there business!) think emmerdale. Im from manchester but my family moved there so from an outsiders point of view - its a bit grotty and you can be made to feel uncomfortable because they stare at you but after they finish staring there pretty friendly - usually the men! No dress codes at all - no doormen - reasonable priced drinks. However the younger lot seem to be bored etc and on more than alcohol if you know what i mean...'

Leek Pubs : The Bird In Hand pub in Leek
'Have you been here!!! oh.my.god! Talk about time warp!! Traditional pub!! its still in the victorian time zone! Its is the wierdest most bizare pub ive ever been in ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS IN lEEK. Everyone knows everyones business and everyone seems to spend there life in there (and ther wage packet) Its so small one side has 1 table the other has about 3.It has a wierd smell too.On a good note the atmosphere is quite friendly but if you dont live in the area they know! (my mum lives near i dont and they go in there! i personally dont like it its a far cry from the manchester pubs) NO OFFENCE INTENDED THE REGULARS AND STAFF ARE LOVELY. '
