Henlow Pubs : The Engineers Arms pub in Henlow 'This is a genuine village pub, winning CAMRAs' pub of East Anglia award last year. 9 Real Ales on at a time and approximately 20 each week. October is their Beer Festival when 60 ales are available. It has a real fire when required and live music. Customers of all ages frequent the pub, many regularly coming from some distance and all are made very welcome. The motto of the pub is arrive a stranger leave as a friend.
Meet Chico the dog, a real character. Real pies from local butcher and proper filled rolls are very enjoyable. I recommend this pub' Report
Clophill Pubs : The Stone Jug pub in Clophill near Bedford 'A very enjoyable pub to visit when able to find as it is off the village high street. The regulars and bar staff are friendly. Good food at lunchtimes only. Two changing Real Ales plus 3 regulars including locally brewed B&T. ' Report
Campton Pubs : The White Hart pub in Campton near Shefford 'An average village pub offering 3 or 4 real ales usually Theakstons Bitter, Courage Best and Ruddles plus 1 changing. Does not offer food. Live Music Wednesday evenings. ' Report
Shefford Pubs : The Brewery Tap pub in Shefford 'The brewery tap for B&T Beers. Quest ale listed is usually one of there own! Everards Tiger is available but not listed as a Guest Ale! Basic interior quite comfortable. Nothing special to note on this pub. ' Report
Old Warden Pubs : The Hare & Hounds pub in Old Warden near Biggleswade 'Excellent pub with exceptionally good food. Charles Wells Beers usually with one Guest. Plenty of accommodation both inside and outside. Staff very pleasant.Gets very busy summer weekends. ' Report
Woodston Pubs : The Palmerston Arms pub in Woodston near Peterborough 'A small local pub now owned by Batemans, plenty of good real ales from other brewers besides Batemans. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.' Report
Barnby Moor Pubs : White Horse Inn (barnby Moor) Ltd. pub in Barnby Moor near Retford 'A good village pub with 2 real ales 1 from Adnams. Food good and good atmoshere. Pub well laid out.' Report
Newton Pubs : The Queens Head pub in Newton near Cambridge 'Small village pub selling Adnams from the cask. Sandwiches and home made soups are a speciality and excellent. Can take drinks out to green outside. Can be very busy during the summer.' Report
Sandy Pubs : The Sir William Peel pub in Sandy 'Good town local having real ale from the attached brewery called Old Stables. 2 Other Guest Ales. Well frequented, landlady very pleasant. This was a rundown pub ready to be bulldozed only to be brought back to life by the late landlord. Please visit. No food' Report
St Pauls Walden Pubs : The Strathmore Arms pub in St Pauls Walden near Hitchin 'A village gem, good ales 3 from Fullers plus 3 others usually from small breweries. Sunday lunches a must but book beforehand as meals specially prepared. All day breakfasts available rest of week. Beer Festivals superb. Large garden, camping available for customers. Public Bar, Lounge plus Games Room. Has North Herts CAMRA pub awards since present landlord came in. Well worth a visit. Closed Monday Lunchtime' Report

Stevenage Pubs : The Marquis Of Lorne pub in Stevenage 'Pub in Old Town of Stevenage having a long narrow Lounge Bar and a Public Bar. Present landlords have improved the operation of the pub but I understand are now leaving. Probably the best in the High Street at present. Greene King beers plus upto 2 guests. Pub nothing special to note however.' Report
Stotfold Pubs : Tudor Oaks Lodge pub in Stotfold near Hitchin 'This lodge is situated at Astwick a distance of about 1.5 miles from Stotfold. It is situated beside the A1 road after the end of the motorway heading North. About 5 real ales available mostly from small breweries. Good food at lunchtimes and evenings and accommodation available. This is not a pub as is usually associated with the name but more of a resturant which one can drink and socialise in pleasant surroundings without having food. Ideal resting point for travellers on the A1. Southbound travellers need to come off the A1 at Stotfold and return to the A1 heading North, after the visit can return southbound via bridge further up the A1 ' Report

Histon Pubs : The Red Lion pub in Histon near Cambridge 'A very enjoyable pub having 6 real ales, Everads Beacon, Hop Back Summer Lightning,Everads Tiger and Elgoods Black Dog as standard plus 2 others. Public and Lounge Bars. Beer artifacts and local pictures around the walls and ceilings. No food Sunday. Well worth a visit.' Report
Cambridge Pubs : The Carlton pub in Cambridge 'Don't be put off by the modern appearance of this pub as it has been refurbished by Trevor and Teri and serves at least real ales. It has a non smoking lounge, public bar and a games room. Food available' Report
Haworth Pubs : Old Sun House pub in Haworth near Keighley 'This pub has alot to be desired but a favourite with locals. Only 2 real ales including Landlord. Noisy, has music and sky. Has a resturant but food not tasted. Accommodation available but suggest last resort.' Report

They brew Real lagers from around the world and have won many awards. Pub is a pleasant back street pub serving food. Staff pleasant on my trip and are prepared to give samples of the beers on offer. Ware Pubs : The Victoria pub in Ware 'This pub appears to be rather run down and was informed the landlord had little interest in it. McMullen AK was only Real Ale on. Food only available if staff interested in cooking. Needless to say not reccommended' Report
Sutton Pubs : John Ogaunt Inn pub in Sutton near Sandy 'Lovely village pub selling good food (not Sunday evening) although children not allowed in pub. Landord been here 29 years and been in Good Beer Guide last 17 years. CAMRA Community Pub of year 2003 Gardens around pub. 3 Greene King real ales available. 2 Bars. Sutton village quilt hangs in the saloon bar. Plenty of village walks around pub.Recommended' Report
