Caldicot Pubs : Ye Olde Tippling Philospher Inn pub in Caldicot
'Don't bother! We were booked in and after a 7 hour journey, we were told that they had no record of us. They kindly found us a spare room (we were the only ones staying). As you expect, kicking out time was a bit noisy but 1am came & I was getting sick and tired of the shouting and swearing. So I went to complain. But how do you complain to a drunk manager swearing like a trouper at his staff? He type of apologised & as I was turning to go back to bed he said "or you can F**k off now & check out". Charming! Then to top it all, one of his sober barmen came up to apologise on his behalf! Absolutely disgusted by this pub / B&B and would tell people just not to bother. '
