' Report
Sidford Pubs : The Blue Ball Inn pub in Sidford near Sidmouth 'A fantastically well-run pub. Been in the same family for years. Excellent real ale, food and rooms. An absolute gem.' Report
Port Isaac Pubs : The Golden Lion pub in Port Isaac 'A "nicely, basic" St Austell house, serving excellent Tribute, HSD and Tinners, also Dartmoor Best. Good grub makes this an idyllic place to while away the hours.' Report
Salisbury Pubs : The Old Ale House pub in Salisbury 'A good pub, selling usually well-kept 6X, Fortyniner, Pedigree and a guest or two, although quite pricey. Lunchtime food and a good music venue, featuring local and national bands. Cast Iron Shores and Mister Kite are two of the best bands to be heard here.' Report
St Kew Pubs : St Kew Inn pub in St Kew near Churchtown 'A really great pub, serving excellent St Austell ales straight from the cask. Can get a few 4x4 types which spoil the atmosphere. However, if you're lucky, they won't be there.' Report
Polperro Pubs : The Ship Inn pub in Polperro near Looe 'A good local selling the only mild (Courage Mild) in the area. It's the Landlord's tipple, so must be good! Good food served as well.' Report
Polperro Pubs : Crumplehorn Inn pub in Polperro near Looe 'A great pub serving excellent St Austell Tribute (sometimes HSD) and a Sharp's beer, such as Revenge. Good food and a lovely atmosphere make this a great pub. Polperro is blest with really good pubs. Not a duff one in the village.' Report
Salisbury Pubs : Duke Of York pub in Salisbury 'No, you're not being homophobic, the Duke of York is a gay pub. However, I believe people of all sexual orientations are made most welcome. I do wonder though, what would the law say if a pub was advertised as a heterosexual pub?' Report
Salisbury Pubs : Tom Browns pub in Salisbury 'This pub has now been fully refurbished, and has reverted to its original name, The Halfway House. It is called this as the pub is halfway between London and Exeter, on the A30. It is also halfway between Salisbury and Wilton, but that is not the reason for its name! It has a great new landlord, and still sells the great range of Goldfinch ales. This is a real community pub, and I cannot recommend it strongly enough.' Report
